I recently found out that Burger King has a Veggie Burger, it is not listed on the menu board and you have to order it out right. If you have read any of my reviews you know that I am not a vegetarian, in fact, my few veggie friends might claim that I am anti Veggie. This is not at all true, I just believe a meal is not a meal unless an animal dies. All silliness aside, I like meat in my meal and I respect others with different tastes and ideas. So I am trying the Veggie Burger at Burger King.
I ordered the Veggie burger with no cheese, wanted to keep it pure. Comes in at $3.09, not too bad, but when you unwrap it you might feel it is a little small for the money, especially since no animal died in the making of it. I bit into it and it actually tasted good, it does not taste like a hamburger, and I did not expect it to, but you get the impression they are trying to make you feel it does. There was way too much ketchup on it as well as too much lettuce. I pulled off most of that and it left a pretty good tasting veggie burger. The outside edge of the patty was hard and could have been better.
I wanted to try it to see how it was, if you have a veggie friend and you insist on Burger King, then at least your friend can eat more than fries.
The burger comes in at 420 calories, not bad at all.
